As you may know, following the latest government advice, the connexion has now advised that worship in Methodist Churches can restart subject to strict conditions.  We have resumed our 11am Sunday services. Covid regulations are still observed: the congregation will be socially distanced and masks will be worn by all who are not exempt, and there will be no congregational singing.

During the pandemic, we have found ways of sharing in worship by other methods, which will continue for those who are not willing to come to the chapel.  Many useful links can be found on the "Thoughts for Sunday" page, which is being updated frequently.

With my prayers and best wishes,
Rev'd Graham Ransom, Circuit Superintendent.

Cartmel Chapel

We are a small fellowship meeting in the medieval village of Cartmel. The chapel is in the centre of the village, but hidden away beside the River Eea. You can find it either by coming through the gate at the back of Unsworth’s Yard (beside the brewery) or down the footpath from the bridge over the river.

The chapel is open daily from around 10am until 4pm. You are welcome to enjoy the peace and simplicity of the chapel and garden. There are leaflets for a prayer trail with guided reflections on features of the chapel and garden.

Our Sunday service is at 11am each week – all welcome, whether you are a visitor, or live locally. Holy Communion is usually monthly on the third Sunday, though this can vary.

 Minister: Rev’d Jo Rand
