One
More Step along the world I go
I wonder what’s the biggest adventure you’ve ever been on? I’ve run for 12 hours (and 40 miles) over the Humber Bridge, and I once flew to Hong Kong for a conference, but most of my adventures are pretty tame, except for one. My biggest adventure is that I follow Jesus, and it turns out that for me and my family that means moving around, sharing God’s love and meeting new people on a regular basis. I’ve always done it since I was tiny, knowing that God loves everyone so much, and that the world needs people who can remind everyone how precious we are.
It’s always a bit scary moving to a new place, I’m rubbish with names and faces, and everyone always knows me - when I know nobody, but it’s also a great adventure. Jesus says “I’ve come to give you life in all its fullness” and that means I know wherever we go as a family God is with us too, wanting the absolute best for us. It’s a promise that goes for each of us, whether we are called to stay rooted in one place, or travel around. That promise keeps us going, and we trust in God’s good plans for all of us - as a family, and for you too as I get to know you.
Ben, my husband, is going to be working for Thomson, Hayton, Winkley, and the kids (Edward and Emily - who also loves to preach!) will be settling into years 4 & 2 at school. If you want to contact me, for a chat or coffee (I love coffee!) whether you’re religious or not, whether you need something or not, I always love chatting to people, and letting you know how precious you are to God. Email me here - I’m probably out living life in all its fullness!
And it’s from the old we travel to the new, keep me travelling along with you
With my prayers and blessings
Grace
