The trustees feel it is time to update you on the current position of the Cornerstone Bookshop and Lonsdale Bible Society.
After sixty two years of trading, the trustees have taken the very difficult decision to close Cornerstone Bookshop. The decision was not taken lightly but it was prompted by several factors, not least the restrictions imposed by the current pandemic. Hence, Saturday 31st October is the last day of trading in the shop.
Can we remind you that we have a fantastic sale on at the moment which unfortunately has now become a Closing Down Sale. This includes all books (except Bibles) for sale 75% off, everything else 50% off. Our aim is to get rid of the whole stock by the end of this month.
Please can you communicate this information to all of your congregations and relevant contacts so they are aware of the current position.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your congregations for your custom and support over many years whether through prayer, financial support or purchasing products. It would be great to see you and thank you personally before we finally shut. Therefore, please do drop in on or before, Saturday 31st October. We hope that you will find a bargain amongst our sale of gifts and books.
A reminder, that shop opening hours are Monday, Thursday & Friday, 0930-1630.
For information, we will be holding our AGM on Monday 9th November at 7.30pm. Due to covid restrictions, this will unfortunately need to be held via Zoom and details will follow in due course.
Although this is indeed an end to a fantastic vision started way back in 1958, we pray that its past and ongoing impact will continue to glorify our Father. Also that you will continue to know God's love and peace in the midst of these uncertain times.
