As mentioned in Graham's newsletter, a Prayer day for the Circuit Review will take place on 4th February, encouraging us all to pray for the future of the circuit.  We are all invited to set aside some of the day to pray. Prayer cards will be distributed soon with some details and a prayer to pray; this page is an onscreen version.

Please pray for the churches:

  • Ambleside
  • Cartmel
  • Carver
  • Coniston
  • Grange-over-Sands
  • Hawkshead
  • Swarthmoor
  • Ulverston
  • Windermere
  •  and for our Methodist folk in Grasmere and Lowick.

If you could also pray for the Circuit staff and stewards as they seek the way forward, that would be appreciated.

Journeying on together … let us pray for strength, courage and guidance, so that we may:

  • continue working effectively together in support of our church congregations, clergy and leaders

  • look forward with hope to finding ways of doing things differently as God’s people

  • be guided in finding and joining with others as we reach out in our communities …

here in the South Lakes Methodist Circuit.

Lord God, author of all our yesterdays, todays and tomorrows;
You call us to journey with you.
And, faithfully and compassionately, you journey beside us.
Be with our circuit: its churches and its people,
As we move together into the future.
Give us your understanding, your vision and your enabling power,
that that future may be the one you have planned for us.
We ask our prayers in the name of the one who died to make us one with you,
Your Son, our Saviour, Jesus
AMEN

"Give us courage for the journey,

Christ our goal and Christ our guide.”
