Message of thanks from Barrow FoodbankWe had 2 beautiful sunny days to have our food bank collections outside church earlier in the month. It was lovely to see friends again, many we haven’t seen for months!  We had an excellent response to our appeal, many people saying they had seen the article in Grange Now too!  A huge thank you to everyone for your gifts; I made 2 journeys to Barrow with a full car load each trip. We also collected £190 in cash donations which was wonderful. Receipt for cash donation to Barrow FoodbankWhat a generous town we have, and thank you for all the kind comments too.

We will be having 2 collections for the food bank at the church gates on Friday 11th June and Saturday 19th June between 10.00am and 12 midday for any items you wish to donate.  If you are unable to come into town and would like to contribute any items, please email or call Carol Lamb (32876) who will be happy to collect them by arrangement.

There will continue to be a collection box in the Vestry when Church reopens.

The usual items such as tinned meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, rice pudding, potatoes /instant mash, tea, coffee, sponge puddings, UHTMilk (full cream and semi skimmed), biscuitspasta sauce packets, stock cubes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel, hand wash, deodorant and hand gel would be most welcome.

They generally receive plenty of baked beans, pasta, cereal, jam and soup at the moment.

Your donations are always most gratefully received by the team at Barrow as the need for help continues to rise in these difficult times.

Thank you for your support!  Thanks too to helpers Glenda and Liz.
